I wanted to share this very nice testimonial with everyone, send to us from Wayne Larsen
Craig,
Recently I reached the point in my life that I decided it was time to purchase a large-print edition of the Standard Works to enable me to more easily read the scriptures. For months the new set of scriptures just sat in my office because I coulden’t bring myself to set aside my 30-year old set of Scriptures that had been marked and personalized.
During Education Week I was browsing in the BYU Bookstore and came across the table where you had Scripture Stix displayed. At the time, I wasn’t specifically looking for a scripture-marking system, but coulden't help but notice an open set of scriptures on the table that had scriptures marked in bright colors. After looking though the marked Triple Combination for about 15 minutes, I could see that Scripture Stix would be the tool to motivate me to mark my new scriptures. I purchased both the Preach My Gospel and Scripture Mastery sets of Scripture Stix.
Since purchasing Scripture Stix, I have marked and labeled all of the Scripture Mastery scriptures and most of the Preach My Gospel scriptures. The labels are easy to apply, look very neat, are easy to read, and are color coded. What an easy way to begin scripture chains. For the Preach My Gospel topics, it is more simple to memorize one scripture about a topic and follow the scripture chain rather than try to memorizing all scriptures related to each topic. The process of marking the scriptures and applying the labels in and of itself helped me see the value in the scripture chains and has me using a new set of scriptures that now already feel broken in. I have kids starting seminary soon and I plan on buying sets for them to help them with their scripture study and mastery of their seminary scriptures.
Thank you for a wonderful product and for the great customer service.

Education Week and The New Web Site
We wanted to take some space here and say "Thanks" for all the support of our friends and family during the development of the Scripture Stix labeling system. It has certainly been a labor of love. We are now starting to see some real success in the distribution of this new product. We also wanted to bring everybody up to speed on the latest with Scripture Stix.
We had a very successful three days during education week with the BYU bookstore, book signing event. We love meeting people, and having an opportunity to show them Scripture Stix, and relating the benefits of our product to them. It is always very nice to receive positive responses, and comments about our Scripture Stix, labeling system. We always come away feeling energized about what we are doing. The BYU bookstore has been very successful selling Scripture Stix, which makes us very happy.
We also have been working very hard to launch our new web site the last few weeks. We have really streached our capabilities during this whole process, but it has been a very positive experience for both of us.
Please take some time and look at the new web site. And please feel free to make any comments or suggestions to Jan or Myself. Thanks again Craig & Jan

“THE DARKEST HOUR IS JUST BEFORE DAWN”
The composer lay down his baton at the conclusion of what he believed would be his last performance. At 56, he’d already suffered a stroke which temporarily paralyzed his right arm. His life had been marked by an endless string of financial failures from which even his formidable talent had been unable to rescue him. In 1741, in England, that usually meant confinement to debtors’ prison.
But then, two seemingly small events converged which would change his life. He received a libretto from a friend based on the life of Christ, and a commission from a charity to compose music for a benefit performance. He worked feverishly, hardly eating or sleeping but rapturously lost in a creative ecstasy, known only to masters such as himself. In only three weeks, his masterpiece was complete. His name—George Frideric Handel. The masterpiece—his celebrated oratorio Messiah, a triumph of musical genius that still enjoys a place of honor amongst Christmas and Easter performances over 250 years later. The house in London where he composed the work is now a museum dedicated to him. And ironically, the first charity performances of Messiah provided funds for dozens of people to be released from debtors’ prison.
History is replete with the triumphs of men and women that were preceded by what appeared to be their darkest hour. Even the First Vision happened only after the adversary’s powerful but temporary hold on the fourteen-year-old Joseph Smith. I have often wondered why the adversary tries so hard to discourage us in our righteous endeavors. Surely he must know that Heavenly Father’s power is monumentally greater than his. Surely he knows he cannot succeed. Or does he? In 1 Nephi 2:12 we read, “And thus Laman and Lemuel, being the eldest, did murmur against their father. And they did murmur because they knew not the dealings of that God who had created them.” Cross-reference the word ‘knew’ in that verse to Moses 4:6, “And Satan put it into the heart of the serpent, (for he had drawn away many after him,) and he sought also to beguile Eve, for he knew not the mind of God, wherefore he sought to destroy the world.”
The adversary actually does not know the big picture. He believes that our darkest hours really can be our end result, not a temporary darkness that precedes a breaking dawn of hope and success. Only Heavenly Father knows what great blessings are in store for us. Only He sees the richest blessings yet hidden from our view. His plans cannot be thwarted, but He needs us to trust Him and know that all will be well, that, as a well-known hymn says, morning will break and the shadows will flee.
